Whether you’ve lived in Missouri all your life or you’re just cruising through on Route 66, you’ll definitely want to stop in at one or more of these restaurants.

St. Louis

A trip into Missouri just wouldn’t be complete without sampling the chow at The Goody Goody Diner in St. Louis. With a history that stretches back to the Great Depression, you know the Goody Goody Diner must be serving something that’s really good! Known for its outstanding breakfast deals, the menu also features many excellent sandwiches and salads, as well as a homemade meatloaf that you’ll never forget.

Branson

If you’re hungry for the best barbecue in Branson, look no further than Danna's BBQ & Burger Shop. The selection of smoked meats is extensive, featuring sausage, pulled pork, pulled beef and chicken, all prepared with Danna’s own secret recipe. Of course, the American classics such as burgers and onion rings are also done to perfection. Danna’s serves large portions as well, so you won’t have to worry about leaving unsatisfied. For a change of pace, try their special catfish sandwich.

Kansas City

Ask the Kansas city locals where you can find the best pizza in town and they’ll likely point you to Grinders Pizza. With a Philly cheese steak recipe that calls for Cheez Whiz, you know you can’t go wrong. Start it all off with some of their signature ‘Death Wings’ and your appetite will surely be curbed. Grinders also offers sandwiches, salads and daily specials.

Springfield

The Agrario restaurant in Springfield features meals prepared from fresh ingredients, served with flair. As an Italian restaurant that utilizes local produce, meats and cheeses, you know you’re getting your money’s worth. Other highlights include delectable ambience, an extensive wine list, and a reputation for impeccable service. The casual, downtown dining experience will make your trip to Missouri a memorable one.

Rocheport

When it comes to fine dining in Missouri, the Blufftop Bistro at the Les Bourgeois Winery is hard to top. With a view that overlooks the Missouri river, it’s the perfect place for a romantic evening beneath a moonlit sky. With seasonal seating, you should expect seasonal ingredients paired with an upscale wine selection. If you’re not interested in the Blufftop Bistro, Les Bourgeois also has a variety of places for its visitors to picnic, including the historic A-frame, which even sells prepared picnic baskets.
