Jimmy's Smokehouse & Pizzeria
7025 SW Macadam Portland,OR 97219 503-246-1460
Great organic pizza and barbeque. Not to mention the salads, pulled pork and beef brisket. There aren't a lot of seats but the take out is just as good.
Bamboo Grove Hawaiian Grill
515 SW Carolina Street Portland,OR 97219 503-977-2771ý
Off the main road, this diamond in the tropic rough is a must. The teriyaki chicken is outstanding and you must try the kalua pig (usually only available on the weekends). Most entrees have three sizes; small, medium and large, which must be Hawaiian for large, huge, and 'oh my lord.' Usually meals this large, I leave the starches for last or not at all. Not the case at Bamboo. Their macaroni salad is phenomenal and should be mandatory. They also have a large choice of Hawaiian beers on tap as well as specialty mai tais.
