Since 1993, the Northwest Children's Theater and School has been one of the largest youth-oriented theater companies on the West Coast. Each season, NWCT offers family-friendly, thought-provoking shows on the mainstage featuring adult actors and designers working alongside talented young performers. Plays like this upcoming Honk! The Ugly Duckling Musical and Disney's Beauty and the Beast are chosen for literary merit, relevance to school curriculum, and their appeal to audiences of diverse ages and backgrounds. Two TeenStage productions every season are aimed at older adolescent audiences.

Performances at NWCT are enhanced by educational guides, "talk-backs" after the shows and workshops for school audiences.
