Wash. Crossbow Shooting Suspect Arrested
Victim Also Stabbed Several Times, Deputies Say

PE ELL, Wash. -- A man from Washington state is accused of waiting outside another man's home and then shooting him with a crossbow Wednesday night, deputies said.Lewis County deputies said Lehman Delavergne shot an arrow that struck the 26-year-old victim. After the crossbow shooting, a fight ensued and the victim was stabbed numerous times in the stomach, according to the sheriff's office.Deputies were called to the home on Katula Road in Pe Ell, Wash., at 8:17 p.m. Delavergne had fled the scene by the time they arrived, authorities said.Delavergne and the victim knew each other prior to the incident but deputies did not release any other information about their relationship.
The victim suffered severe head and chest injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was in stable condition Thursday morning, deputies said.After two days of investigation, Lewis County deputies were able to get Delavergne to surrender, according to the sheriff's office.He has been booked into the Lewis County Jail on a charge of attempted murder.
