Your Name, Your Title, and one or two sentences on your brewery.

Why is Organic/sustainable brewing important to you?
We live, work and play in the most beautiful place on earth'a place with a rich agricultural history and culture. Our company's core values are Community, Environment, and Great Beer. Sustainable and organic brewing is the best way for us to live up to those core values.
What are you doing now/what are your plans for the future in terms of sustainable or organic brewing practices at your brewery?
We are Certified Organic by the Idaho Department of Agriculture. We brew all of our beers, even the ones with conventional ingredients, in accordance with Organic requirements. For example, all the cleaning and sanitizing chemicals we use are approved for organic production. We support local and sustainable farming by working with Slow Food and Full Circle Education, which puts gardens in schools, and we're sponsoring a series of dinners featuring local farm produce. We are actively seeking local producers for our ingredients'hops and barley, and we provide organic feed and compost to local farmers.
What beer are you bringing to the festival?
5 Time Gold Medal Winning Bitch Creek ESB & a single keg of Howling Wolf Weizenbock Cellar Reserve at the Buzz Tent.
Which beer in your line of brews is your favorite?
I prefer Bitch Creek. It could be THE perfect recipe with respect to balancing bitterness & malt. Have never had a better beer with Pizza!
What are you looking forward to at the Oregon Brewers Festival?
The beers at the Buzz Tent, the brunch and parade & all the craft beer drinking people from all over the country.
Can you taste the difference between an organic or sustainably brewed beer vs. a conventionally brewed beer?
Would have to blind taste them with others to answer that question honestly.
My guess would be probably not. I am no judge.
What should consumers look for if they want to purchase beers that are sustainable or organic?
The truth is, most small craft breweries are working to make beer sustainably. Look for local producers, and make sure the beer you're buying is as fresh as possible.
Fun question: Give us your funniest beer story or beer joke!
Disclaimer that DUI's are no joke! Take a cab or designate a driver.......One of my friends was pulled over in San Francisco while traveling the wrong way down a one way street. The officer asked him "Didn't you see the arrows?" My friend quickly replied "Arrows? Hell, I never saw the Indians!".
