Because the establishment's exterior is rather nondescript, you might think nothing much is doing as you approach, but you'd be amiss. Peek inside and you'll discover a beautiful wooden footbridge suspended above a pair of large water fountains, your first indication that this is no ordinary dive bar or tavern. Cross into the main room and you'll marvel at the friendly atmosphere (greatly assisted by the staff's bright floral tops and the mid-century exotic music on the stereo) and tropical décor that features large, wooden tiki statues, puffer fish lamps, an outrigger canoe, a sunken bar top, black velvet portraits, artfully strewn seashells and candy-colored space-aged booths, all of which coalesce to evoke a glamorous and by-gone era.
